Is the Catalyst jacket suitable for snowboarding?

Yes. The Catalyst All-Mountain line is designed for both skiing and snowboarding. The modern loose fit suits snowboard riding styles, with fully featured waterproofing (XERO™ 20K/20K), detachable powder skirt, and YKK Aquaguard zips throughout.

What is the difference between Manifest and Catalyst ski jackets?

Manifest is Forward's premium high-alpine line — engineered for backcountry skiing, ski touring, and freeride, with an athletic fit designed to work over layers and under packs or harnesses. Catalyst is the all-mountain line — excellent technical performance in a loose, modern fit, built for resort skiing, snowboarding, park, sidecountry, and après. Both lines use XERO™ proprietary membrane with 20K/20K waterproofing and PFC-free DWR.

Is the Catalyst collection insulated or shell?

Both options exist within the Catalyst line. The Catalyst Shell Jacket and Unisex Shell Pant are uninsulated — designed to be layered over mid-layers for adaptable warmth. The Catalyst Cargo Parka and Jogger Jacket are insulated with Primaloft Black ECO®. The Catalyst Down Hoodies are insulated with 750-fill Allied Feather Down.
